Travel was my escape, alcohol was my companion, and falling for a Top Gun-like fighter pilot was never part of the plan. What began as a yearning to travel post-divorce became an unplanned reckoning with addiction, identity, and the narrative I'd been telling myself about who I was allowed to be. This is a story of getting lost on purpose, getting sober by accident, and discovering that the greatest adventure wasn't the places I went - but the life I finally chose to live.
Who am I? I'm a writer, traveler, and lifelong seeker of what lies beyond the familiar. After years of chasing expectations and looking for fulfillment in all the wrong places, I set out to discover who I was on my own terms. My debut memoir, The Great Adventure of Being Me, is a heartfelt journey of resilience, shedding of old identities, and finally following my internal compass.
